Telecoms    CAPE is a fully hosted population coverage prediction tool developed by BizMaps for mobile operators. CAPE allows operators to visualize populations inside and outside mobile network coverage zones. The solution meets the Mobile operators need to estimate population within their predicted Network Coverage zone. BizMaps methodology uses Census information combined with GeoDirectory (the national address database) to produce a realistic population measurement for any given coverage zone. The result is the most accurate and cost effective coverage area population estimates available in Ireland today. This method for population coverage estimation has now been accepted by COMREG. To use the solution, the user uploads a coverage map in MapInfo MID/MIF format. This is used to predict the population coverage via the new BizMaps-developed methodology and a percentage population coverage report is generated. The report provides an overall coverage as well as a break down by town and area.       Fully functional reporting and map navigation tools are provided and the user can view GeoDirectory points, sites and coverage areas on detailed OS maps. Maps can also be printed to A3 or A4 size. CAPE is web-based and all datasets are hosted, maintained and updated by BizMaps as a Software-as-a-Service model. This approach means you can view and use maps, GeoDirectory data and reports for a reduced fee compared to sourcing them directly. Once new versions of the GeoDirectory are uploaded, the system is automatically updated so all new coverages immediately use the new data.
